چکیده
Due to rising food demand and the limitation of water resources, achieving security is essential. The lettuce crop affected when grown under limited supplies as it produces small heads, especially during late growing stage. For this reason, important maximize use efficiency productivity. Two successive experiments were conducted 2021 2022 reduce losses via deep percolation using a geotextile layer at different soil depths irrigation levels (Lactuca sativa L. var. capitata). This study aims due improve growth yield parameters for iceberg subsurface drip in sandy loam conditions. In order achieve these aims, amounts (100, 80, 60% evapotranspiration “ETc”) (20, 30, 40 cm from surface) used. results revealed that with 20 30 significantly improved application noticeably increased content root zone. observed both seasons showed layers 20, 100% ETc vegetative characteristics (plant height, head diameter, circumference, volume, plant fresh weight, leaf area) productivity compared control (without geotextile). particular, depth was most statistically effective treatment study, values 69.3 67.5 t ha−1 two seasons, respectively. However, treatments 80% also recorded study. general, geotextiles can be used an management practice field.

Process-based modelling approaches developed for field crops were adapted to address the behaviour of indoor-grown soil-less lettuce under alternative growth conditions. The equations for crop growth and development were simplified to common and consistent terms, re-designed against the peculiarities of a controlled environment and implemented into an easy-to-use, management-oriented, software ...
متن کاملCarotenoids of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) grown on soil enriched with spent coffee grounds.
The impact of spent coffee grounds on carotenoid and chlorophyll content in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. capitata) was evaluated. A greenhouse pot experiment was conducted with spent coffee amounts ranging from 0% to 20% (v/v). All evaluated pigments increased proportionally to spent coffee amounts. Lutein and β-carotene levels increased up to 90% and 72%, respectively, while chlorophylls in...

Iodine (I) and selenium (Se) are included in the group of beneficial elements. They both play important roles in humans and other animals, particularly in the regulation of thyroid functioning. A substantial percentage of people around the world suffer from health disorders related to the deficiency of these elements in the diet. Salicylic acid (SA) is a compound similar to phytohormones and is...
